Yeah, these official graphics are so unreliable.

as in whatever-2-1 xmas top or no true striker ?

i'm guessing the former, since we have 3 strikers that deserve playing time

I think Montella’s capable of playing Hakan and Suso up front

I didn't catch the game, but I understand it's nothing much. Just 3 points is all that matters. A danger game is next against Sampdoria, so we obviously must be better for them. I'm guessing Montella will rest some players, but why we sold Kucka when Kessie will need resting is beyond me.

It's simple, Kucka didn't fit Montella's style of play. We'll get someone in January. I'd go for Fofana.

MONTELLA: "IT'S A VALUABLE WIN"

The boss is not 100% pleased: "We could have managed the game better". Also Biglia and Abate spoke to Milan TV

Vincenzo Montella addressed Milan TV right after the 2-0 win over Spal at San Siro. The coach analysed the team’s performance highlighting the aspects which still need to improve and set the focus on the next match against Sampdoria in Marassi.

NOT 100% PLEASED AFTER THE WIN
“It’s a valuable and well-deserved win, but we have to be more consistent in the different phases of the game during the full 90 minutes in order to reach our objectives. We controlled the match at the end but we ran a little too much. We could have managed the game better, but all the boys wanted to score and that’s something positive.

THE TEAM’S ATTITUDE
"It wasn’t easy, Spal was very organized. We took many shots from distance, we have to come out with alternative solutions. The team seemed always composed, also in defence.

PK SPECIALISTS
“I have excellent penalty specialists. I always pick two before the match and they were Kessie and Rodriguez.

INDIVIDUALS
“Biglia’s was an outstanding performance, he is very intelligent, a unique player. I decided to sub him off because I noticed he was still feeling a mild pain after a clash he suffered in the first half. I liked Rodriguez a lot today, he was always fully focused. He is improving.

ON SAMPDORIA
“They are a super organized team managed by a great coach, who last year made us suffer twice. It will be a very tough match away, as tough as Lazio I would say".

From San Siro’s mixed zone, also Lucas Biglia spoke to Milan TV:
On the defeat to Lazio: “We took the positive aspects from that game in order to learn and improve. A team can become better also after a heavy defeat, and that is what we expect from ourselves”. On the team: “No one should feel more important than the rest, we don’t need big egos. We have a fantastic team and we make it difficult for the boss to choose each week among us”. On the team's physical condition: “We have worked very and I can see the fatigue. It’s up to us to manage ourselves the best way during the season”. On Sampdoria: “We have to focus on next match, today they tied and will definitely try to win against us. We simply have to go to Marassi and bring home the 3 points”

Lastly, Ignazio Abate had a chance to talk about the win:
“I have been through tough times, I thought I was not going to make it and actually everything is going well, my eye is healing. I would like to thank everyone, we have reacted and are back to winning ways. I was happy to play from the start at San Siro, I was quite excited, we played a good match”. The fans’ support: “We are on the right path, however, the hardest is about to come, preparing for a game every three days is not easy. We were missing our fans at the stadium, when the stands are full is difficult for our opponents to take home some points”. On the team: “We have already shown solid basis last year, then many young players arrived this season. Even the ones who don’t play much work very hard every day”. On Conti: “He has a strong character, he is facing his injury with courage. He will come out of this and will be back to give us a hand”.
