MONTELLA: "WE DESERVED TO WIN"
The boss's reaction after the match, interviewed by Milan TV. Suso: "Fans were perfect, we have to give more"
Vincenzo Montella reflects on today's performance and comments on the referee's decisions in the San Siro match against Genoa. The 0-0 surely can't be a positive result for the Rossoneri but the coach is positive that things will turn around. These were his words, interviewed by Milan TV:
MISTAKES AND BAD LUCK
"I saw great desire to win, we have to take it from here. We are not lucky, we deserved the victory. There were two penalties for us: one for a foul on Jack (Bonaventura) and one on Kalinic. This is a time for the team to be united, it's what the boys are showing. It was the third really good performance, we have taken home only one point (out of nine) but it can't be like this forever.
PLAYERS AND FANS
"Bonucci? Down to 10 men, we had to change tactics. Bonaventura? We will keep him monitored over the next few days. The fans at San Siro were pleased with our attitude and our spirit which always has to be there. We will make it through this tough period.
AWAY MATCH TO CHIEVO VERONA
"It's not that positive that we have to play immediately, I would have preferred a day to take a breather. After the Europa League clash and the match played with 10 men for 70' today, I see the boys are tired".Among the ones to shine in this grey afternoon for the Rossoneri was Suso, who spoke to Milan TV reflecting on the match drawn against Genoa:
"We played a good game, it's never easy with 10 men but we never changed our attitude. Had one of the chances gone in, we surely would be talking about AC Milan differently. It's not an easy period: luck has turned its back on us and things aren't going well but we have to bounce back, all together". On the fans: "The fans are always backing us and we can actually feel this on the pitch, they cheered on us for the whole match, they have been perfect and I want to thank them for this, while we need to do more". Up next, Chievo: "We have to analyse what we did wrong today and focus on Chievo because it's a tough one. Only after that, we will start thinking about Juve".https://www.acmilan.com/en/news/intervi ... ved-to-win
