Milan Village

La Repubblica have revealed in today's edition a new project Milan is attempting to get underway in China: Milan Village.

Milan Village is a city of sports with which Milan intends to link their brand to the development of local football.

The project has already been presented to Chinese investors and is being examined by real estate giants Evergrande and Country Garden.

However, to get this project done Milan have overcome the competition from German football, which is backed by the agreement between Chinese president Xi Jinping and German chancellor Angela Merkel for German-Chinese sports cooperation.

However, Yonghong Li's Milan is looking to overtake them. La Repubblica published a 39-page brochure that illustrates the plan of Milan.

The brochure starts with the trophies won, Casa Milan, Milan museum, Milanello & Milan Lab. It also includes the youth sector training center.

The main part of the brochure is a map of Milan Village, which includes the sports area, the offices zone, the theme park (playgrounds & leisure area), entertainment area (hotel, museum, store & restaurant) and the education area.

The sports area contains a professional stadium,a pitch for youth sector, a medical center, a center for video analysts & athletic trainers.

The project is big and very ambitious and would also allow Milan to tie their brand with the development of Chinese football.
