Medical Report, Tuesday 22/8/2017

Milan gave injury updates on Lucas Biglia, Giacomo Bonaventura, Riccardo Montolivo and Alessio Romagnoli.

Chief medic Gianluca Melegati spoke to Milan TV this evening to give an update on the various situations.

“Following a lesion to the flexor in his thigh, Biglia is recovering very well and ahead of schedule. It’s a delicate zone, so caution is absolutely essential.

“Bonaventura had an elongation of the quadricep, not particularly serious, but considering the characteristics it is to be treated with caution. He will be out for two to three weeks, but here too there is optimism.

“As for Montolivo, he is part of those players who can get muscular problems after a series of games. He had specific tests that ruled out lesions, so we’re dealing with it.

“We no longer consider Alessio Romagnoli among the ‘patients’ because he is back in the squad after a difficult period. We resolved everything without the surgical option, as that could’ve caused problems in future.”

Medical Report, Tuesday 12/9/2017

Today, Milan's doctor Stefano Mazzoni went on Milan TV and provided medical updates for the team.

He began with Conti, stating, "He has not reentered among those available to the coach due to his sprained right ankle, which was very swollen initially. The situation has improved, but it is still not completely healed, it is a situation we are monitoring day-to-day."

There are no problems for Bonaventura, who took the field as a substitute against Lazio on Sunday.

There are also positive signs from Romagnoli, "he is training with regularity, he is doing well."

Lastly, commenting on the squad's health as a whole the doctor said, "it is a good moment health wise, as everyone is available to Montella with the exception of Conti."

Medical Report, Tuesday 26/9/2017

Milan's doctor, Stefano Mazzoni, spoke to Milan TV today to give injury updates, "Conti? We are very pleased with the surgery, the knee was a little swollen in the early hours and allowed a quick surgical procedure. It was also swollen only little in the days after, so things are proceeding well. It is normal in this case to respect the timetable set, the boy is in a good mood and has been working hard."

"Montolivo and Antonelli both had muscle injuries that fortunately weren't too serious. They are both working on individual programs and are in the phase before rejoining the squad. The day when they will be called up again depends on how their muscles respond to the individualized programs on the field."

"Davide Calabria's abductor muscle is fatigued, it is not a lesion of the muscle fortunately. He, like the two others, is in the process of re-adapting to the pitch, we are awaiting the response to his individual program."

28 NOVEMBER: WEEKLY TEAM MEDICAL UPDATE

Team doctor Stefano Mazzoni offered us the regular medical update on the Rossoneri. To start with the good news, Lucas Biglia is back in the fold after flu ruled him out last weekend. Coach Gattuso can also count on Davide Calabria and Ignazio Abate, who are back training with the rest of the group, having recovered from their injuries.
Fabio Borini, on the other hand, picked up an ankle injury and will be monitored on a daily basis to see if he can make it in the squad that will take on Benevento next Sunday.
Finally Hakan Calhanoglu: the Turkey international felt something was wrong with his calf muscle during Tuesday's training, but we need to wait 48 hours to determine how serious the injury is.
