'Lapadula worked hard for Milan'
Gianluca Lapadula's agent says the player's meteoric rise towards Milan demonstrates his 'hunger for victories'.
The 26-year-old went from playing in the Lega Pro to scoring 30 goals in Serie B and being signed by the Rossoneri, all in the space of only two years.
“This is a beautiful new chapter in his career,” his agent Gianluca Libertazzi told MilanNews.it. “He worked hard and sacrificed a lot in the past years to reach the top, and we're happy about that.
“He was highly determined. He has a strong personality and that's what allowed him to climb in a way that is so rare in football.
“His determination will be essential in a club as important as Milan. Lapadula is hungry to win and in the last three years he always did, be it in Lega Pro, in Serie B, or in the Slovenian Cup. He absolutely wants to win with Milan too, he is very determined.
“With Milan we had a blitz negotiation, there were many clubs after him but in the end he could not resist the call of Milan. It was an extremely fast operation which was closed in only one day, or actually in just a few hours.”
Lapadula is one of the tools that can be used by new Coach Vincenzo Montella, whose style may suit the striker's.
“I think Montella can highlight Lapadula's attacking game. The Coach proved in the last few years that his teams always play well in the attack. They reach the opponent's box very often, and we're hopeful that's going to be good for Lapadula. In fact we're certain of it.”http://www.football-italia.net/86596/la ... hard-milan
